Board Games...

Image
Board games are played by moving game pieces in particular ways on special boards marked with patterns. To clarify the possible roles of board game use in psychosomatic medicine, the present review evaluated studies that investigated the effects of this activity on health education and treatment. Although the number of studies that have evaluated board game use in terms of mental health remains limited, many studies have provided interesting findings regarding brain function, cognitive effects, and the modification of health-related lifestyle factors.

Let's be Humble....

Kindness is taught by every religion. Be it Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism or Islam or any other religion to name, all teach to express kindness towards others. The term is not only restricted to human implementation. But cruelty against all the living creatures is a sin.   Even the mute animals wave their tail as a return gesture to kindness shown to them. Similar response is shown by plants. They grow large and bear fruits as a response to the kind behavior of their care taker. Nature has own ways of expressing gratitude and kindness. What goes around comes around’. So, just be polite and kind in your behavior and the same will come back to you. Being kind to self is equally important as being kind to others. Don’t be harsh to yourself and give space to the trivial mistakes in life. As, we only learn by committing mistakes. Learn from the experience and move ahead in the positive direction.

The Best Things in Life.!

Image
“The best things in life are free” is an ancient proverb which has a deep hidden meaning. This proverb relates to all the things money cannot buy. This proverb is closely related with the proverb “money cannot buy happiness”. When we are born on this Earth, the almighty blesses us with a full – fledged family. This family consisting of our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and siblings is a blessing showered by the almighty on each and every individual. However rich an individual might grow, he cannot buy these relations. This is a universal fact known to one and all. Another important fact is that one cannot buy happiness. Happiness comes as a result of appreciating smaller things in life instead of crying for bigger things in order to gain happiness. An individual who is alone in his 10,000 square feet mansion can never be as happy as an individual who stays with his family and kids in a 1000 square feet home. A BMW is useless if you have no one beside you whereas you

Dreams, The Bigger The Better....

Image
Everyone has a dream in his life which they want to achieve when they grow up. Some kids want to become rich so that they can buy anything and some want to be a doctor, lawyer, or engineer. But only you know that for achieving these goals you have to work hard and stay attentive to it.  Staying Motivated Lack of motivation is one of the main causes that force a person to leave his dream behind. So, staying motivated is also part of the goal. And if you can’t stay positive then you won’t be able to achieve the dream. There are many people out there that quit the journey of their dreams mid-way because they lack motivation. Determination For turning a dream into reality the first thing that you need is determination. This will help you in a lot of ways. Firstly, it will help you decide the course of action for doing anything. Besides, it will also help you to plan the journey ahead. Also, it will help to take things slow and maintain a steady pace towards the dream. Ke

Keep Calm and Stay Positive...

Image
I believe in staying positive. I am not the most well off person in the world, and I am definitely not the happiest person in the world. But when something does not go my way, I try to stick with it, stay positive, and finish it through. Staying positive is not a onetime thing. It is an attitude, a way of life. When I was a young boy, I had all the things in the world. I had a great tennis racket, I had great soccer gear, and I could do just about anything I wanted. But when I was younger I also complained about almost everything. I always gave excuses to why I would lose a certain match or a certain game, and whenever I won I would always steal the spotlight and say it was me who did all the work. Now that I’m older, I realize that even though I lost, I can’t blame the wind or the court surface. There’s no one to blame but myself. During every game, I would always go in with the mindset that there was something wrong with me or the place that I couldn’t do well. But to get

Pets are Humanizing

Image
Pets can be very both physically and emotionally beneficial to their owners. Living with and caring for them can also be a great experience and very entertaining. Even browsing YouTube, thousands of pet owners record their little friend's amusing tricks and humorous incidents to share with the world. Although these videos or pictures can encourage your desire for a similar companion, many details to keeping an animal of that sort may not be evident. There is a huge variety of species available, from tarantulas to munchkin cats, with many ways to obtain them, but not everyone can handle a giant arachnid or endure changing kitty litter.

There is not one person who will avoid some sort of struggle or hardship in life. In fact, there are things that happen in life that often shake us to our very core. The essential nature of being alive and being human is to experience life in its purest form -- the wins and losses, celebrations and challenges, and the good with the bad. Some of these experiences are not favorable. We might be in pain, physically or emotionally -- we hurt. Often we feel betrayed by life itself, we feel it is unfair and question why we have to go through these struggles. What we don't realize is that these struggles are a gift from life itself. When we come face to face with a struggle, a low point in life, be it an illness, a relationship breakdown or financial ruin, at the time we are lost in darkness.....
